Privacy policy for RePage

1. Account and reading information

RePage stores your account ID, email address, display name, friend code, and settings such as timezone, reminder schedule and delivery preferences. Depending on the features you use, your app records can also include:

• Books, authors, cover references, reading status and reading dates
• Passages, page numbers, tags, favorites, notes and review history
• Book ratings, summaries and reading notes
• Loans, the names you enter for lenders or borrowers, due dates, returns and purchases
• Friendships, shared libraries, shared passages and accompanying messages
• Feature ideas, votes and comments you submit
• Stored source images where present, device notification subscriptions and reminder delivery records

2. How information is used

RePage uses these records to manage your account, save and synchronize your library, calculate reading statistics, resurface passages, track loans, provide sharing features and deliver enabled reminders. Information you send to support is used to respond to your request.

Book AI processes the messages you send and, when enabled, selected bookshelf details to generate replies. The website also loads Google Analytics for usage measurement; Google receives requests from your browser when this script runs.

We do not sell your personal data.

3. Email and device reminders

Email reminders contain selected passages and may include books due back. In Settings → Email digest → Frequency, choose Daily, Every other day, Weekly or Never. The same frequency applies to email and device reminders. Settings → Reminder schedule controls your timezone, local time, selected weekdays and whether email reminders are enabled.

Device notifications require you to opt in and grant permission on each supported browser or installed app. RePage stores that device's push subscription so its browser notification service can deliver reminders. You can turn notifications off for the device in Reminder schedule. Notification previews may be visible on your device's lock screen, depending on your device settings.

Turning off reminders does not disable account messages such as password recovery emails that you request.

4. Sharing with other readers

Your personal library is associated with your account. Some information becomes available to others when you use social features:

• Someone who knows your exact email address or friend code can find you to send a friend request. Friends can see your reading totals and book titles.
• Sharing a passage gives its recipient the passage, book details, page number and message you share. It does not include your private passage note.
• Members of a shared library can see its books and shared reading details, including book reviews and reading notes. Auto-sharing your bookshelf expands what is shared with that library.
• Feature ideas, comments and displayed author names are visible to other signed-in readers.

Exporting an image or copying text lets you share it outside RePage. RePage cannot recall copies that other people save or that you send through another service.

5. Services involved

• Supabase provides account authentication, the app database and stored source images.
• Vercel hosts the website, and Resend processes email reminder delivery.
• Your browser's push service handles delivery when you enable device notifications.
• Anthropic processes your Book AI messages and recent conversation to generate replies. If “Use my bookshelf as context” is on, RePage also sends book titles, authors, reading status, likes and ratings. You can turn this option off in Book AI before sending.
• Google Analytics receives browser requests for website usage measurement.

Using these features involves processing by the corresponding service. Avoid putting information into Book AI or shared content that you do not want to send to those recipients.

6. Storage on your device

RePage uses browser storage for your sign-in session and local preferences. If you choose Settings → Offline reading → Keep an offline copy, it also saves your books, passages and reading notes on that device. Typed offline passages remain in a local queue until they sync to the same account after you reconnect with RePage open.

Anyone using that browser can open the saved offline copy. Signing out or removing the copy discards the saved library and any unsynced drafts on that device. Browser storage can also be cleared by your browser. These local copies are separate from your online library and from copies on other devices.

7. Export and deletion controls

Settings → Data → Export passages to CSV exports your passages. Export library data (JSON) in Settings includes book, review, loan, sharing and other app records. JSON includes image references, not an archive of image files, and is not a full-account restore format.

Settings → Data → Delete all data clears your library and app activity while keeping your sign-in account. Settings → Danger zone → Delete account removes the sign-in account and its associated RePage records. These actions remove stored source images and clear this browser's offline copy as part of the deletion flow. Export what you want to keep first.

Deletion does not recall downloaded files, copies shared outside RePage, delivered emails or notifications, or offline copies on other devices. Remove those copies separately where needed. Contact us if you need help accessing, correcting or removing information.

8. Children's privacy

RePage is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as RePage changes. The date at the top shows when this page was last updated.
